Well done Amber, the way you write about these episodes reflect the filmic nature of the novel with the building and releasing of tension. You also spot the degeneration of humanity with each passing episode, the level of depravity just seems to grow. You also spot the disappointing conclusion to their journey, the beach (which traditionally is seen as a pleasant place and a location for family trips) is very bland, the dead fish which line the coast and the abandoned tanker just add to the deathscape.
